The 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship is officially underway at the scenic Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon, marking a historic first for the prestigious venue. The championship runs from August 4 to August 10, bringing together top amateur golfers from across the country.
The competition began with two days of stroke play qualifying on Monday and Tuesday, August 4–5, which determined the top 64 players advancing to the match play portion of the event. Today, Wednesday, August 6, marks the start of the Round of 64—the first official round of match play.
While Bandon Dunes is no stranger to hosting USGA championships, this is the first time it has welcomed the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, adding to the course’s growing legacy in competitive golf.
Golf fans and aspiring athletes alike are keeping a close eye on this week’s action as match play unfolds at one of the most celebrated coastal venues in the sport.
