Hamilton Coleman, a 17-year-old standout from Augusta, Georgia, has claimed victory at the 77th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship held at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. In a competitive 36-hole final, Coleman secured a 2 and 1 win over Vietnam’s Minh Nguyen.
The win not only crowns Coleman as the latest junior champion but also earns him an exemption into the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills—an incredible achievement for the University of Georgia commit. He becomes the first Georgian to win this title since Andy Shim in 2012, and the first future Georgia Bulldog to do so since Brian Harman’s triumph in 2003.
